As Group Director Quality and Improvement , Faye Logan focuses on developing effective systems to ensure the organisation delivers the best possible outcomes for the people we work with.
Faye has been part of the Emerge Aotearoa whānau for the past six years, starting as the Southern Regional Manager. In her current role, she oversees the Quality and Improvement and Communications and Marketing teams.
“My work is about making sure our systems, processes and the way we work supports people to thrive and succeed, and to look for opportunities to drive real change that makes a difference in people’s lives,” she says. “We have such breadth and depth in our organisation that we are always learning from each other.”
Earlier in her career, Faye trained as an Occupational Therapist, specialising in Forensic Psychiatry, working at the Canterbury District Health Board and Good Health Whanganui. She also has experience in organisation development; policy and procedure project work; implementing an IT client management system; quality improvement; and facilitating regional planning and development of Mental Health and Addictions services in the South Island Shared Service Agency (now South Island Alliance Programme Office).
Faye has also completed a Bachelor of Business (Management), majoring in Marketing and Communications, and PRINCE2 project qualifications.
“Throughout my career, I have always been involved in health, specifically in mental health and addictions,” she says. “Every now and then roles take me further away, but I always come back to working in mental health.”
