Deaf Mental Health Services

We offer Deaf Mental Health services from Whangārei to Hamilton and provide personalised support to deaf or hearing-impaired people experiencing mental distress

The mobile service is delivered by multicultural kaimahi who are also deaf or hearing impaired and use New Zealand sign language. The team works alongside people toward greater well-being through an empathic, goal-focused approach.

This can look like supporting people in their own homes, connecting them with their community, helping people contact appropriate services in times of need and promoting awareness of deaf mental health to whānau as well as health sector agencies.
